The location was incredible, very close to trains, restaurants, and both Grindelwald and Grindelwald terminal. the breakfast selection was large with a great mountain view and the best coffee.

it was immaculately clean, the stuff was fairly friendly, plus the service was great. the breakfast had lots of selection, the food was excellant. the location was fantastic and favourable, near a train station, greatly enjoyed it.

I was upgraded to a spacious room with a perfect mountain view, and the location was fantastic, very close to the train station.

The hotel has two building: a nice one looking like a typical Swiss chalet and a second one that is not really nice. We stayed there and we did not like it (we were offered any choice...). It needs to be renovated and you need to go to the main building to have breakfast.

A very pleasent hotel walking distant from the train station. View was great. Exactly as expected. The town sleeps early so suggest one looks for dinner early. Overall breathtaking. Overall expensive.

The reception was very friendly and helpful recommending the hiking routes. Breakfast was good. I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom which had no issue at all. Room was clean and the bath robe was comfortable.

Not really. It's a practical and homelike hotel. Not luxury but good enough for families or single travellers.

There are two buildings for the hotels, and I definitely recommend the one which is standing on the valley side (not the main building). The main building has an atmosphere of a swiss chalet, but the balcony/window faces the road when you see the Eiger, so it's quite noisy. There are also other buildings between the main building and the Eiger, so it's not recommended. On the other hand, the one on the valley side has nothing but gives a direct view of the Eiger, and all the rooms have balcony. It's excellent!

Had a great time during my vacation here! the location is super convenient, right at the heart of everything. Plus, you've got stunning hillside views and it's super close to the train station and Eiger foothills 🌄.

The staff were friendly, helpful & multilingual. The room had all the required facilities and was cleaned daily. Breakfast was typical Swiss/German and very good. The village centre is less than 10 minutes away. The view from the bedroom balcony was magnificent.

1. We were in the bedroom block across the road from the actual hotel. Ugly in itself, but no real problem. 2. The tv set was small and old; no English channels (and the bbc radio channel did not work). 3. Bedroom walls were very thin - we could hear everything going on, including snoring, in the next room.
